For the Second time in the last 3 months IRCTC railways will operate Astha special tourist train from Jainagar .This train will depart from Jainagar on June 9 and return on June 20 .The devotees will be able to travel different pilgrimage sites through this train .Train will depart from Jainagar at 8 AM and will go to different pilgrimage sites of south India via Madhubani , Darbhanga , Samastipur , Muzaffarpur , Patliputra , Danapur , Ara , Mughalsarai and Varanasi .
The devotees can visit the temples of Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga , Dwarka Nageshwar , Dwarikadhish Temple , Somnath , and Shirdi . All coaches of this train are of sleeper class .
According to Sanjiv Kumar , the senior supervisor of IRCTC , this will be the second chance for the people of Mithilanchal , when such kind of tourist service is being operated for pilgrimage places by the railways .’The passengers will get a feel at home in this train and the passengers will be fully taken care off’ said the official from IRCTC.
You can book your ticket through the website of IRCTC . In addition , the agent of IRCTC can also book a ticket from Darbhanga , Muzaffarpur , Patna etc. stations by presenting I-card .Two agents of IRCTC be present at the Food Plaza (Platform 1 Side) at Darbhanga station where passengers can be book their journey tickets .Passengers can book their tickets with any agent of IRCTC .

After boarding the train the passengers will not have to pay expense of food, lodging and travel. This all expense is included in the traveling fee . The train will make a journey in the night and the passengers will visit the pilgrimage places in the day . The budget hotels will be arranged for the passengers so that , they can stay and bath there . The facility of bus will be also provided of both side from railway station to the hotels and pilgrimage places .
In addition to , there will be one security personal and care taker of the passengers from railways in every coaches .
