20 artists including Mithila painting and sikki works honoured


Chief Minister honors Madhubani Artists

20 handicraft artisans were honoured by the the chief Minister Nitish Kumar who presented a sum of  22 thousands rupees , an engraved copper-plates (Tamrapatra) and Angvastra at Patna recently . The resident of Madhubanikala village of chiraiya block of east champaran district Siyaram Mahto for weaving crafts , resident of Jitvarpur village of Madhubani district , Vinda Devi , Savitri Devi , Moti Devi , Ram Kumar Dutt and Shiv Kumar Pasvan  for Mithila painting were among the list of artists honoured.Uma Jha , the resident of Haripur dihtol , of the same district was honored for Mithila panting while Shila Devi ,a resident of Lakhnaur, was honoured for the Sikki crafts .
