Sahitya Academy announced the Awards for the year 2015 on Thursday .Dr.Manmohan Jha received the Sahitya Academy Award in Maithili for his story-collection ‘khissa’ . Dr. Jha is a native of Bajitpur in Vaishali district.At present he is a professor of Psychology in C M College at Darbhanga.Born in 1951 , Mr Jha was found of Maithili litrature since his childhood .In addition to Khissa his other two collections ‘Ghar Ghurait Kal’ and ‘Kono Aik Ta Gam’ have also been popular.
Dr. Manmohan Jha is son of renowned Maithili writer , Dr. Hari Mohan Jha .Dr. Manmohan Jha received inspiration of writing literature from his elder and litterateur Dr. Raj Mohan Jha . On his selection Manmohan said he is feeling proud and expressed thanks.
