Prof  Prem Mohan Mishra received Sahitya Academi Bal Sahitya Puraskar 2016 in Maithili language for his book ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhata’ (Part –1).Mr Mishra’s book was selected on the basis of recommendations made by the Jury comprising of three members each in the language in accordance with the rules and procedures laid down for the purpose.

He will be formely awarded on November 14 , 2016 with this award which carries casket containing an engraved copper plaque and a cheque of Rs 50,000/-.

On hearing  this news , Professor Prem Mohan Mishra was happy and now wants to write more books in Maithili .He told in a Press meeting that he is very excited to get this award .He told that he will write books in Maithili based on science , with translation of science book in Maithili . He told the work of translation has got momentum after getting Maithili getting a place in the 8th schedule of  the Indian Constitution .

Dr. Mishra was born on January 3 , 1960 at Lakshmipur Village of Lakhnaur Block under Madhubani district .Currently he is working on the post of Head of Department of Chemistry in MLSM College Darbhanga .
