There has been a consistent effort to promote tourism in the Bihar by the Government.
This effort now seems to reflect some results.About 49 new sites have been identified in Madhubani district which have been identified and will be developed.In all , Nearly 300 new sites has been identified in the state which are perceived to show immense potentials of tourism.
This count may increase even further.In this endeavour , the top slot occupies the Madhubani district of Bihar.
A survey work was also taken on these sites that has now been completed.In this , 32 new sites have been identified in East Champaran which occupies the 2nd preference followed by Gopalganj.
As you might be aware that most of the tourist destinations are in the capital of Bihar.There are 38 places here to visit for the tourists.
After this, follows Gaya and Nalanda .There are respectively 36 and 34 marked tourist destinations in these districts .
Religious Tourism Targeted
Under new Tourism Road Map, these have been marked to develop as tourism destinations.
In addition, a number of places rich in natural beauty is also marked.The new tourist destinations identified across the state have mostly religious and eco tourism spots.
Whether Madhubani or Muzaffarpur or Jamui , all every district are full of religious places.
