According to DRM of Indian railways Samastipur , Rajesh K Jain , Indian railways will resume Jaynagar to Janakpur Nepal train service upto Kurtha till October 2018.
This will provide a better rail network connectivity between India and Nepal for people who want to visit Janakpur.
The Divisional Regional Manager of India Railways in Samastipur Rail Division did the inspection of the Indo-Nepal Rail Project .This project is under under construction and the Jaynagar station’s complex expansion plan is underway.
He told that Jaynagar station will be made wider in next four to five months.
‘All features of the model station will be restored here. Platform will also expand in coming days.’,the DRM said while speaking to the reporters.
There are currently three platforms on Jaynagar railway station . Railways wants to increase this be up to five.
Right now, the rail track is being laid to 17 KMs from Jaynagar to Vaidehi.
