Patient Survived in 3rd cardiac arrest

The doctors at the Paras Global Hospital at Darbhanga managed to save the life of a patient who got a cardiac arrest for the third time. A pace maker had to be installed to the patient during his treatment. Dr. Jyoti Prakash Karn – the consultant in Intervention Cardiology at Paras, was treating the patient.

Speaking on this regard the doctor said that Vinod Mandal (52yrs) was admitted to the hospital in a critical condition. The patient was unconscious at the time of his arrival. “His blood pressure and pulse were not detectable”, added the doctor. The patient was having a low oxygen level in his blood.

Dr Sumit Kumar of the emergency unit received the patient placed him on advanced cardiac life support and cardiac pulmonary resuscitation.He was late on kept on a ventilator and administered medicines. Gradually, the patient’s condition improved and he was kept in observation for three days. According to the hospital, now the patient is fully healthy and  is doing the daily work by himself.

Earlier, the patient was admitted to a private nursing home for the same ailment but when his condition was deteriorated he was referred to Paras Hospital.
