B.Ed to be compulsory for the teachers of Intermediate colleges in Bihar

Now the teachers , who are working over the years in aided secondary and senior secondary schools will have to take B.Ed degree . They will not be called teacher without this degree .The state government is going to make B.Ed degree compulsory for these teachers .

There are 715 aided and about 500 Intermediate colleges of this category . These all institutions are affiliated with Bihar School Examination Board and there are about 15 thousand post of teachers in these institutions . The draft of condition of service of teachers and employees of these aided secondary and senior secondary schools has been completed . This draft  has been sent to the solicitor general for opinion polls through department .

After accepting the cabinet , this condition of service will be applied in these aided educational institutions . After that , all untrained teachers of these educational institution will have to achieved B.Ed degree from recognized teacher training colleges within three years . These teacher training college should be recognized by NCTE .
